The first tour goes through the High Atlas Mountains. It stops at Ait Ben Haddou. Then, it reaches Ouarzazate on the first day.

Option 1: Classic Route (Most Popular)
Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
By midday, we’ll reach the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and filming location for numerous Hollywood productions including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore this ancient fortified village with a local guide who’ll share insights into its rich history.
After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gateway to the Desert,” where we’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios if time permits. Overnight in a comfortable hotel with dinner included.
Day 2: Ouarzazate → Draa Valley → Rissani → Merzouga Desert
We’ll stop at Nkob or Alnif for lunch before continuing to Rissani, a historic town once the capital of Tafilalet and birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty that still rules Morocco today. Here, you can explore the vibrant local souk and learn about the region’s rich history.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a magical trek across the golden dunes while witnessing a spectacular sunset over the Sahara Desert.
Your desert adventure continues at our traditional desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under the stars, followed by Berber drum music around the campfire. The night sky in the desert offers incredible stargazing opportunities.
Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
We’ll drive to Erfoud, famous for its fossil marble workshops, where you can see how local artisans transform ancient fossils into beautiful decorative items. Then we continue through Tinejdad and the Touroug palm groves to reach the spectacular Todra Gorges.
These impressive limestone canyons with walls rising up to 300 meters create one of Morocco’s most breathtaking natural sights. You’ll have time to explore the gorges on foot and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we drive through the Dades Valley, known as “The Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” with its stunning rock formations and traditional Berber villages. We’ll stop at the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formation for photos before reaching our accommodation in Boumalne Dades.
Day 4: Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Skoura → High Atlas → Marrakech
