Depart Chefchaouen for Fes, with two important stops along the way. First, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Volubilis, featuring the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco.

Explore the ancient city with its impressive mosaics, triumphal arch, and basilica. Continue to the imperial city of Meknes, known as the “Versailles of Morocco.” Visit the monumental Bab Mansour gate, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Arrive in Fes by evening.

Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Journey south toward the Sahara Desert, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Continue through cedar forests where you might spot Barbary macaques.
